Pulitzer Prize; for Best Spot News 1992: Part of The Los Angeles Times photographic team that covered
the 1992 Los Angeles riots. One of Roth's images appeared as the lead photo on a 5-part special section
produced by the paper that addressed the causes and impact of the riots on the city.

International Photographer’s Association:
Nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Documentary Photography, 2003
